Spotting hazards by category

Walk the area and think through each category:

• Physical: noise, heat, cold, moving equipment, working at heights.
• Chemical: fuels, solvents, dusts, fumes.
• Biological: mould, sharps, animal waste.
• Ergonomic: heavy lifting, awkward positions, repetitive work.
• Psychosocial: fatigue, working alone, rushed deadlines.
